Instead of trying to categorize us by checking a single box, why not just let us be who we are?
If your work is causing you so much stress that you’re in physical or mental decline, you need to take immediate action to change or leave the situation.
If, like me, you’re prone to want continual improvement, you might make up stories that suggest you aren’t good enough to begin with.
If you build it, they will come. But if you don’t maintain it, they’re not going to stick around.
If you’re trying to hedge against potential rejection or ridicule, why would you spoon feed your audience the very things you were hoping to avoid?
Roadblocks can lead to realizations about who we want to be and what we want to do.
Aren’t we supposed to LEAN IN, ASK for what we’re worth, INSIST on a seat at the table, be BRAVE and SPEAK UP?
Time to trash stinky thoughts and order up a better narrative.
